My belief is that wholeness, being in harmony with our self and our universe, is our natural state. This harmonious state gets covered up by constriction, tension and excessive stress as well as not claiming the magnificent truth of our being. The flow of energy must be restored by realigning with who we are. Loving ourselves is the real healer.

We have all had the experience of struggling too long, feeling alone and stuck. We usually name these experiences something like anxiety, frustration, depression, overwhelm or depletion. We know that we want something different for ourselves and our relationships but we don't know how to get it.

When we are in a state of stress or imbalance, we seek to remove that which is causing our resistance. There are many diverse ways to help us do that. My vision is to be able to provide a breadth of effective tools for the benefit of my clients. 

I am a mother and a grandmother with a great curiosity about our human journey and how we can transform that which holds us back from living our lives to the fullest.

I have spent my entire adult life committed to exploring practical and effective cutting edge approaches to release blocks, transform fear and support others to live full, confident, authentic and vital lives.
 

 

 
 
I have continued to work as a bodyworker and energy professional for over 35 years, certified at Boulder College of Massage Therapy, having completed many advanced trainings since then.

I am deeply commited to the transformation of negative emotions that are locked in the body and the exploration of the most effective ways to to help those stuck places move.  

I offer private bodywork sessions, separate from my psychotherapy practice, that include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu and various Energy Balancing Techniques.
 


 
 
Modalities that I draw from include:

Transpersonal Psychology – Our life experiences are projections of the inner self onto outer reality.  As we learn to reclaim our projections, we can take more and more responsibility for the creation of our lives.  Each individual has the innate potential for harmonious and holistic development of all aspects of themselves.

Depth and Archetypal Psychology – Deep inner work that includes personal symbology, imagery, dreams and shadow work.

Gestalt Therapy - Experiential therapy that addresses recurrent challenges and ‘unfinished business’ in the 'here and now'.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or Tapping  – A quick, effective method to transform childhood wounds and limiting beliefs at their core, gently correcting imbalances in the body’s energy system, clearing developmental and adult traumas and clearing barriers to health, happiness and success.

Matrix Reimprinting - Recognizing and freeing the life energy that is stuck in past emotional pain or negative conditioning. In actuality, changing memories.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) -  An effective and powerful method to gently address and shift how trauma is held in our bodies and nervous system.

Nonviolent Communication – A simple model to express needs and feelings more effectively, to listen without judgment and to resolve conflicts peacefully.

Cognitive Restructuring – Based on the theory that if we change our thinking we change our lives, we begin to bring our distorted and unproductive thoughts into awareness and learn to make conscious perceptual shifts.

Somatic Awareness - Becoming aware of where our bodies are constricted with unexpressed emotions, we expand the capacity of the body to integrate these emotions. Using the theory that 'the way out is through' we learn to feel all of our feelings and love ourselves through the process. As we do this, healing naturally occurs. 

Breath Awareness - Through conscious and intentional breath we begin to release blocked energy and experience more aliveness.

Mindfulness - This practice includes learning to be present with our inner selves as we go about our outer lives. Living our intention to fully experience where we are and what we are doing in the present moment.
